I was born and raised in the lower mainland Mission/Abbotsford to be exact. Our background is Dutch, my Oma and Opa (grandparents) immigrated from Holland when they were young. My Opa always said that our last name means old house so if you want a SOLD HOUSE call OLD HOUSE or ask OLD HOUSE to help you find your NEW HOUSE!
I am the 3rd oldest of 7 children so I know all about living in a large family. Growing up our family would stay on Shuswap Lake in my Oma's cabin which she still owns to this day.
When I got my driver's licence, I would come out on my own and explore the Shuswap and Okanagan. I knew even back then I wanted to end up living here. It is a dream come true when you get to live where everyone else comes for vacation.
I am married with 3 young girls and we live on an 11 acre hobby farm in Salmon Arm where we raise some beef, pork, chickens for eggs and hay for the cows. My background is farming and I have a lot of experience in this area. My family and I are part of a local church where I often volunteer.
My passion for real estate started at a young age, always reading through the real estate paper and helping people find houses that I had seen for sale and dreaming about owning my own place. So turning real estate into a career came fairly natural for me. I bought my first house when I was 21 and by 24 I owned 2 and rented them out until we sold them and bought our farm in Salmon Arm.
The Shuswap/Okanagan is an amazing place to live. In the summer, you will find me camping, swimming, kayaking, biking and hanging out with family and friends. In the winter I play ice hockey in town.
I love to look after my clients during and after their purchase or sale. I will gladly come by with my truck and trailer and help you with moving or any dump runs you may have!
